Talacrest, a British vintage Ferrari dealer, is selling a 1962 Ferrari GTO for the first time in more than 20 years. This 1962 Ferrari GTO could bring in a mind blowing $56 MILLION dollars, making it potentially the most expensive car in the world.

In 2014, another Ferrari was sold for a record $38 million dollars, making it the most valuable car in the world at the time. Now, this blue 1962 Ferrari will surpass that record with ease making it also the most expensive ferrari in the world. Good lord.

Why is this 1962 Ferrari GTO so valuable?

Well, most classic race cars were painted in the classic Ferrari red, but this one in particular was built for the NART, or the North American Racing Team. The NART raced in blue, so it stood out from the crowd quite a bit. Only TWO 1962 Ferrari GTOs were built and this particular one competed in 27 races including a win at the Sebring 12-Hour and a sixth place at the 24 Hours of LeMans.

Essentially the future owners of this car would own a piece of racing history.

See for yourself.
