How You Can Support the Victims of The Pulse Shooting

I’m sure you heard about what happened last night in Orlando, Florida by now. If not, there was a shooting at the LGBT nightclub, Pulse. It began around 2 am leading to a hostage situation. The police eventually raided the night club around 5 am, killing the gunman. 50 people have been killed, and another 53 were injured marking this as the worst mass shooting in U.S. history.

It is a crazy world that we live in. Our thought and prayers go out to those families and victims affected by the atrocity. The purpose of this post is to raise awareness and help those in need. God Bless.

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center of Central Florida is working to support the LGBT community through counseling and support in the aftermath of the shooting. As with many crisis situations around the world, Facebook activated its safety check feature for those in the Orlando area. His marks the first time Facebook has launched the feature. It is for Facebook users who survived or were injured in the attack can confirm their safety, and alert their friends of their status. One of the best features ever created.
