This is a truly rare release of whisky, not because of its price nor its brand but its process and patience. Crafted in 1978 by Dr. Bill Lumsden, the 1978 Pride started as a 19-year-old whisky which then went through a staggering 15 years of extra maturity.
Just 700 bottles of the Genmorangie Pride 1978 were crafted making this single malt extremely rare and sought after. The one and only batch of this fine whisky was bottled in 2012 after spending 15 years in barrels once containing French Bordeaux Grand Cru wine.
You’d be happy too if you created a golden nectar of the gods.
