You wont believe what BMW let artists do to their cars

The BMW Art Car project first came along when French race car driver and auctioneer Hervé Poulain had the idea of inviting artists to paint onto the luxury car as a canvas way. What ensued was a stunning array of 17 cars created since 1975 from internationally renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Frank Stella, David Hockney and Jeff Koons to name a few. Some of the famous limited edition one off’s have been featured in high end advertisements for global luxury brands to show people that BMW is a strong supporter of the arts.

Between 2003 and 2005, 15 limited edition Art Cars were released in miniature die-cast scale.
